Indigenous Artist
There's much to see here. Take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about me and my art. I hope you enjoy what you see. If you do, commissions are open so feel free to drop me a line with any inquiries or to just say hello!
Creativity and a wild imagination since early childhood, paired with the difficulties of growing up a Plains Cree Indigenous in central Canada sparked a never-ending love and need to paint. Drawn more to the freedom of expression in abstract art, I paint with grace and poise and try to capture emotions vividly.
I use many different mediums, such as acrylic, oils, and photography. I also utilize the palette knife more than I do a paint brush as I feel the movements come more naturally. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style, so I will continue to grow as an artist by expressing each idea in the medium it needs.
The emotions inside oneself are the biggest inspiration to my work. Evoking emotions to come forth in those who view my works is the biggest source of motivation to continue producing new pieces. Exposing myself to nature and the city through a lens allows me to focus on a different perspective and approach to my art. Emotions and feelings are what drive my art forward.
